How To Blur A Face Or An Object In Adobe Premiere Pro And Also Motion Track It

Hey you guys, welcome to my channel, In today’s video I’m going to show you guys, how to blur somebody’s Face or any object in Adobe Premiere Pro and also Motion Track it.

Step 1

Go to Project, Right Click to import the clip you want to edit, and just drag and drop it to the timeline.

Step 2

Select the clip and Go to -> Effects -> Search for “Gaussian Blur”

Then drag that onto your clip in the timeline.

Step 3

Now go to Effect Controls, under “Gaussian Blur” select the circle or box accordingly. Then align it accordingly.

And Then go back to Effect Controls to add the blurriness, I would recommend above 100, but depends upon your video, to be honest, so start from 100 and slowly move upwards.

And next one is called “Mask Feather”, what feather means is how the pixilation on the edges is going to appear to create a smooth gradient, again I would recommend starting around 100 and move on from there.

Step 4

This is basically motion tracking, now you notice the athlete jumping up and down and blurriness does not track her face.

Go back to Effect Controls, under Gaussian Blur you will find “Mask Path”, there are 2 options to do this.

Option 1

You can do it, frame by frame, where you can adjust the blur effect accordingly by dragging.

Option 2

Just hit the play button, Adobe will automatically mask it for you, later you can adjust it accordingly.

Then just export your final output once you’re done.
